The club normally runs a full range of social events for members during the year. We hope to resume activities in some form when Covid restrictions are eased.
At the moment, club activities are carried out online on Zoom. We hold weekly Friday evening social meetings and monthly quiz sessions.
12 April: The club is currently open in line with step 2 of the Government Covid Roadmap on Fridays (5-7pm) and Sundays (4-6pm). Members can buy drinks outside only but must sit outside in maximum groups of six. Please continue to sign in, gel hands, and distance as usual. The clubhouse remains closed.
1 May: Launching weekend. The club launch ‘Seabird’ and completed Seabird Half Raters will be put on their moorings in the Mersey. More boats will be launched in subsequent weeks as boat maintenance is completed.
8 May: Racing is expected to start depending on the weather and boats on the water.
17 May: If the easing of Covid restrictions goes well, the clubhouse will reopen and members can return inside to use the bar and social areas. Details to follow.
Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 June 2021: WYC Regatta takes place. That’s two days of racing on the Mersey! Visit the Sailing section of our website for more information.
