General Discussion / Workshop
« Last post by Hermes on March 03, 2019, 12:21:07 PM »
:o The Club Captain and Vice Captain have put notices up asking workshop users to tidy up after they have used it. The Vice Captain has put in improved lighting and spent a lot of time removing old debris from the workshop area, the least workshop users can do is TIDY UP after themselves. Please take this as a HELP FULL HINT as to WHAT YOU SHOULD DO.

General Discussion / New Brewery for the Club.
« Last post by AndyW on November 28, 2018, 11:12:58 AM »
Yesterday saw the first delivery of beer , the club having returned to Marstons Brewery . New draught lagers San Miguel  and Kaltenberg  lager now available along with a larger selection of cask Ale's , too numerous to mention  .

Saturday 15th December is the date of the Christmas party , live band , buffet and new beers to try .

The list is up on the board to give the House Committee an idea of how many to cater for so if your coming to the party and you haven't already done so, get your names up.

Cheers!

General Discussion / Moorings Lift Out -Friday 19th October 2018
« Last post by AndyW on October 10, 2018, 12:04:27 PM »
John Earp has arranged the mooring boat for the above date. LW is 14:48 and the boat is due to be at New Brighton for approx 11:30.

Its a shame to have to say this but apart from the same regular faces, last year we were woefully short of people . There is no free ride here! It's not  just a case of paying your mooring fee and leaving it to others.  You have a weeks notice here. If you can't make it or take a day's leave from work (as I have to) , make sure your boat has rep there on the day. This is heavy work , and the more people we have the easier it will be.

The date for hauling Seabird out of the water has been put back till Saturday 29th September. Meet at the clubhouse 10:00hrs.The boat will come ashore at approx 11:00hrs, 2 hours after low water.
The later date allows the boat to be used for the re run of cancelled races on the weekend of the 22nd . Sailing times to be advised by the Sailing Sec . As usual all boats need to have at least one rep available on the 29th for the haul out.
